Lightronics attains EcoVadis Bronze certification!

Lightronics has attained EcoVadis Bronze certification for the first time. This international certificate confirms that sustainability is an integral part of everything we do as a company. It recognises the efforts in four core areas: environment, ethics, labour and human rights and sustainable procurement.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is an international platform that assesses company sustainability. The company is audited on all sorts of points, including company policy, the measures that are taken, the results that are achieved and much more besides. Lightronics answered more than 250 questions and substantiated this with evidence about policy, the chosen measures and results.

“The EcoVadis certificate demonstrates how seriously we are taking sustainability and that our efforts are being monitored and recognised by an independent party,” says Lennard Schoonheim, Quality Engineer at Lightronics. “ This is the proof that clients and business relations require to demonstrate that they are working with a sustainable supplier. At the same time, the EcoVadis assessment provides tangible direction for the continued improvement of our processes.”

How Lightronics organised sustainability

Lightronics is actively involved in sustainability on many fronts. We are continuously working on the improvement of the energy efficiency of our luminaires and the reduction of their environmental impact. Luminaires are so designed that they are simple to install, reuse or recycle.

There is also attention for people and organisations with the policy concerning health and safe work and career development, including training for employees. Lightronics also employs a code of conduct for suppliers to safeguard sustainability throughout the chain.
