At Sassenheim station, the municipality of Teylingen realised a marina with 14 moorings (with co-financing from Holland Rijnland and the province of South Holland). This completes the recreational transferium at Sassenheim station. The walking network and cycle junction network also run along this P+R location. The landing stage is located behind the parking deck, in the Zandsloot. From here, low boats sail to the Kagerplassen.

The boats may moor for a maximum of several hours (Kiss & Sail). The marina is being built as part of the Leidse Ommelanden programme. In this programme, the Province of South Holland and regional municipalities are working together on sustainable city and country connections and attractive recreational routes.

A total of eight LZR bollard masts with a total height of 120 cm have been placed on and near the jetty. The LEDs are 4000K (neutral white) and have a luminosity of 500 lumens.
